Automatic Configuration via Admin Consent
Admin Consent is the fastest way to connect AtlasData to your Power BI. With one click, an administrator authorizes access and everything is automatically configured.
When to use Admin Consent?
Use this option when:
- You want to configure quickly
- You are an Azure AD administrator
- You prefer not to create manual credentials
How does it work?
- You click Authorize with Microsoft
- Azure displays the requested permissions
- You (admin) approve the permissions
- AtlasData receives access automatically
Step by Step
1. Start the process
- Access AtlasData and go to the connection step
- Choose Automatic configuration
- Click Authorize with Microsoft
2. Approve permissions
You will be redirected to Azure. Review the permissions:
| Permission | Description |
|---|---|
| Read user profile | Identify who is accessing |
| Read Power BI workspaces | List available workspaces |
| Read reports | Display reports in the portal |
Click Accept to grant the permissions.
3. Return to AtlasData
After approving, you will be redirected back to AtlasData and workspace discovery will start automatically.
Requirements
- You must be a Global Administrator or Application Administrator in Azure AD
- Power BI must be active in your tenant
