Getting Started with AtlasData

This guide will help you set up AtlasData and connect your Power BI in just a few minutes.

Onboarding Flow

The AtlasData setup process consists of 5 simple steps:

[1] Create Account → [2] Connect Power BI → [3] Discovery → [4] Access → [5] Done!

Step 1: Create Account

Create your account using email and password or your Microsoft account.

Step 2: Connect Power BI

Connect AtlasData to your Power BI environment using one of the options:

  • Service Principal (Recommended): Permanent and secure access
  • Admin Consent: Automatic setup with one click

Step 3: Automatic Discovery

AtlasData will automatically discover:

  • Available workspaces
  • Reports and dashboards
  • Users with access
  • Governance alerts (reports without owner, missing RLS, etc.)

Step 4: Configure Access

Choose how to manage permissions:

  • Mirror from Power BI: Import existing permissions
  • Customize: Create custom groups and profiles

Step 5: Done!

Your portal is set up and running. You can:

  • Access reports through the portal
  • Invite users
  • Configure alerts
  • Customize branding
